Steiner Heat Resistor gloves feature aluminized leather, an outer layer of aluminum film laminated onto leather to protect against radiant heat and molten metal splashing. The split cowhide utilized in these gloves yields the most dense, consistent, durable and resistant leather. It is extremely durable, abrasion resistant and supple. Steiner gloves are wool insulated for added heat protection and insulation during cold weather welding. The welted fingers and seams protect the stitching (welting is a narrow strip of leather sewn into the seam to protect stitches from burn-through). These gloves feature a wing thumb – a design that has fewer stitches than a conventional keystone thumb and allows for greater versatility in movement than a straight thumb glove. Durable lock stitching uses mechanically entwined threads to prevent stitches from unraveling. The stitches themselves are Kevlar threads to provide superior cut, heat and abrasion resistance. These gloves will fit sizes Large to X-Large.
