Here is a sketch of the handsome “Wildwood Quilt” that Ruby Short McKim, America’s best known quilt designer, has made especially for readers of the Dayton Sunday News. In this day of so many coverlets, a quilt has to be unusual indeed to merit attention, but our series of 32 beautifully colored flower blocks, each typical of some section of the country, certainly may lay claim to such distinction.
"All of the flower designs will be printed in this paper exact size to trace onto quilt blocks cut 9 inches square. Blocks of this size set together as shown with alternate plain blocks and border cut 6 inches wide will finish a large size quilt top, about 75” by 93” minus seams. The size may be varied to suit individual tastes by the width of the borders used. The first block will appear next Sunday, December 3.
