This one, for me, was like the backup camera on my wife's car...I thought it was a "who needs that" deal until I used it.  And again, I was wrong.  When these showed up I fiddled with one for about ten minutes, and within an hour it had been added to the iPad mount in my airplane.  I kid you not...
This adapter goes on the back of RAM tablet holders (and any other that uses the industry-standard AMPS pattern) and allows you to turn the tablet through 360 degrees without having to loosen the thumbscrew on the double-socket arm.   It has multiple detents to keep the tablet where you want it.
The bolt patterns matche all RAM tablet holders, and the needed hardware to attach it to all 1" and 1.5" RAM bases is included.
The tablet holder and 1.5" ball base shown in the second picture are for illustrative purposes only and are not included.  (Like the auto in the last picture.)
