EASY Antique Art Deco Pieced and Appliqued Quilt Pattern from Magazine

Description

This is a unique pattern based on a quilt from the 1930's.  Squares and rectangles are pieced  (a partial seam is used) and then appliqued onto a block.  The stem is made by ironing the shape, then appliqueing it.  Join the blocks together with sashing and cornerstones, then add an easy border.  Wouldn't this be fun in bright colors like red and yellow?  Or maybe in batiks?  Ooooh, so many choices!

Blocks: 11 x 19"
