Create fun and happy quilts using colorful, bright, and whimsical fabrics. This quilt is assembled using traditional piecing and fusible applique.  I recommend that you use an Applique Pressing Sheet.
The pattern designed by Barbara J. Jones contains instructions and full sized cactus applique layout guide. This is a hand drawn pattern that is not reversed. Please look at the second and third photos which show the bottom of the actual layout guide and the quilt instructions about the leaves. The leaves are an optional design motif where you can completely omit, or add as many/few leaves as you would like. The leaves are not shown in the layout guide and would be created according to the pattern instructions.
