    Beautiful antique EAPG embossed candy plate advertising SCHRAFFT'S CHOCOLATES. When you went to the local drugstore the only box of chocolates available, it seemed, was the yellow box of SCHRAFFTS CHOCOOLATES. The square glass dish measures 61/4" square. It is also embossed Schrafft's on the 4 edges of the candy plate. A nice vintage crystal dish to have on hand to serve chocolate on. It was the largest candy maker in the world, Schraffts was a candy, chocolate and cake factory based in Sullivan Square in Charlestown, Mass. Founded as a candy company in 1861 by William F. Schrafft. They had a chain of Schraffts Restaurants in New York City from the 1920s-1960s. Read more as they have a fascinating history.
